PROPOSAL FOR SITE BY: Chryssa Pinney

Audio Proposal.

(site=audio)

•  Investigate your site as you would a physical site (e.g a building). What are its dimensions, length, height, and construction, how it's made, objects, materials, tools used, relationships, what immediately comes to mind, emotive qualities etc. Think about tools used to investigate the site e.g a clock to investigate time. (Remember to only investigate the audio as this is the site)

•  Record you findings using sound notation. This will be your set of instructions or mapping as to how to set up/construct your final piece. It is up to you what symbols or notation you make up or use to record, so long as you understand it and are able to follow it. e.g traditional music notation

•  Use these instructions you have made and find a suitable place for your final composition e.g   stage /hall/ large space. Produce representations of individual instrumental and sound qualities you investigated via the instruction score.

•  Invite all music students (and others) to witness this final composition-or present in a place where the music students will be able to see e.g corridor. Everything set up must be in relation to your instructions. The audio maybe playing in the background. Participation of audience is a possibility.

Document. Musical notation must be documented. Also maybe a plan of your final composition showing relationships. Either use photos, drawings or video   etc. to record final composition.
