Working within the environment of Flash Actionscript we will explore the possibilities that programming offers designers. We will begin with a short exploration of the flash environment as used to produce simple animation, and then quickly move on to extend this capability through introduction of code. We will learn about programming structures through visual examples, and will explore possibilities for prototyping interactive interfaces, and communicating design intention with code. Although the buld of the coursework will be programming, this is an introductory class and no previous experience with Flash or programming is required.
