Zijuan Liang

I am currently a PhD student at Carnegie Mellon University in the Mechanical Engineering Department. I am co-advised by Prof. Burak Ozdoganlar. I graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.S. in mechanical engineering.

Previous Experience

Student Researcher -- NDnano Undergraduate Research Fellowship May 2019 - Aug 2019 - Received the undergraduate research fellowship from Notre Dame Nanoscience and Technology - Worked with Dr. Neretina in the Nanomaterial Fabrication Research Laboratory to study fabricating gold nanoplates using Brij 700

Student Researcher -- Compliant Joints Walking Robot Jan 2020 - Nov 2020 - Designed and animated a 6-leg walking robot with 48 compliant joints in Solidworks - 3-D Printed one side of the robot in a single print using TPU & PLA - Tested and critically compared properties of 3 novel compliant joint models

Analyst -- Goldman Sachs July 2021 - July 2022
