85-412/712 Cognitive Modeling Readings, Notes, and Software

Current Environment

Installation information and system requirements for the Environment are available in the manual available as either a Microsoft Word document or a pdf file.

The Environment now includes the Tcl/Tk side of the Environment as an executable for each system (see the manual for more information), and here are the downloads:

The unit and assignment for the week will be discussed in class each Tuesday.  The paper will be discussed in class on Thursday. Students will be expected to email the instructors (John Anderson - ja@cmu.edu and Phil Pavlik - ppavlik@andrew.cmu.edu) one question based on either that week's assignment or that week's reading before the Thursday class by 11pm on Wednesday.

Below you will find pointers to the pdf texts of the notes and readings (where available). The notes are also available in Microsoft Word format and html. We also included pointers to the files containing the models discussed in class.
