The Film Festival is an annual offering which rotates between the Departments of English, History and Modern Languages, with a different annual theme selected by the Instructor. A core element every year is the study of the Film Festival itself as a global cultural and economic phenomenon. Students in the course will also participate in the planning, promotion and running of a public film festival based on the annual theme and presented to the Carnegie Mellon and Pittsburgh film communities in McConomy Auditorium.
