70-456 Telecommunication and Network Management

Units: 9.0 Department: Business Administration Prerequisites: 70-451 Related URLs: http://www.gsia.cmu.edu/ This course introduces students to telecommunication and computer network technologies. We discuss computer telecommunications, local area networks and wide area networks. Topics include the ISO reference model; network architecture; data communications; local area networks; and ISDN. Students will develop a project to demonstrate impacts of telecommunication technology in business.
