Carnegie Mellon's Student Dormitory Council has a $40,000 surplus this year. What should they do with it? Buy a Dance Dance Revolution arcade machine! It fits comfortably in the budget and in the Underground, and will provide thousands of hours of exercise for the campus community. If you would like to suggest a DDR machine -- or anything else, for that matter, the SDC has a feedback form for idea submissions, or you can send e-mail to Sriram Gollapalli directly. Also check out our bboard, assocs.ogs, for discussion on the subject.

Suggestions are due by September 30, so get yours in early! If our idea makes it past phase 1, we will give a short presentation on our idea to SDC during the week ending October 5.

Be sure to stop by the OGS table at the Fall Activities Fair on Friday, September 7, from 4:30 to 6:30 PM on the CFA Lawn. In case of rain, the Activities Fair moves inside to Rangos, in which case we can set up some demos inside. Either way, you'll be able to sign up for the OGS mailing list and learn more about our fine organization.

Posted live from the DDR event!

If you've got nothing better to do on Labor Day, join the OGS for an afternoon of flat-screened fun. We'll be taking over the Cyert 100 Windows and 100A Mac clusters for an afternoon of gaming. The fun runs from 1:00 to 6:00 PM.

One other reminder: the first OGS general body meeting will be held Sunday, September 2, at 3:00 PM in the West Wing TV Room. Happy gaming!
