Hey everyone,
just in case you hadn't heard yet and were planning to paticipate
in the halloween justice for janitors demo downtown, it has been
cancelled as they negoatiate a settlement and get health coverage
for their members. congrats to SEIU! direct action gets the goods
again. their announcement is below.
however if you still want a chance to stand in solidarity with
folks in pittsburgh fighting for justice this weekend, join
People Against Police Violence saturday at 2pm. more info:

JANITORS REACH SETTLEMENT - FRIDAY'S RALLY IS CALLED OFF
Late Wednesday afternoon the downtown Janitors reached a tentative
agreement with their employers. The agreement is a huge victory for the
janitors. It meets the goals of affordable healthcare, decent wages and
fairness that they had set. The rally for Friday has been called off.
The Janitors will be ratifying their new agreement then. Exact details
of the agreement will be released after the ratification. We want to
thank everyone who worked so hard on our behalf.
