PWR meeting

Ok, first off, we've got tabling action going on both thursday
and friday and we want YOUR help, email Jai (jsadeghi@andrew.cmu.edu)
to volunteer. This is part of a national day of action coordinated
by USAS, I've listed the other schools doing stuff at the bottom.
There should be some national press attention.
We have several visitors from off campus coming to the
meeting with a few quick things to say and who want to
work with us in the future:
- Matt Ryan from SEIU (represents campus workers)
- Matt Lewis from UFCW (taking on Wal-Mart & Whole Foods)
- Molly McGrath from USAS National -- in town for a cool event
at Pitt, 7pm Thursday, which we should attend and represent.
other agenda items:
- Alisha has news and info on our SURG grant for research next semester
- Wenshu has plans meeting with Kevin, janitor from the hill dorms?
- Tabling w/Jai and Pamphlet Development w/Alexa (and Petition dev.
w/Justin) -- and button making! (That reminds me, we still have
cool sweat-free PWR t-shirts, bring 8 bucks and get one)
- Potential end-of-the-year publicity stunts? Caroling and other
demos w/Matt
- in leiu of the traditional end of the semester activist potluck,
a party before reading day? plans are being made.
