Units: 6.0 Department: Music Prerequisites: 57-340 Related URLs: http://www.cmu.edu/cfa/music The third and final year is designed to launch the student actor into the business of performing. Great emphasis will be placed on the individual's ability to manage their own performance while developing an awareness of what does and does not "work" in front of a paying audience. Beginning with an "autodrama", the students will discover what is stage worthy and how to mold their work into performance shape. This focus will be maintained throughout further character study and an opera scene project, and will culminate in a public performance that is developed primarily by the students themselves.
