Colloqium is a two-year graduate survey of dramatic literature from classical Greece to the drama and theater of the contemporary world. The course requires close study of dramatic texts together with extensive historical and cultural material. Each semester ends with a Final Examination consisting of written accounts of the periods and plays studied during the semester. The course is primarily textual and critical.
