Emphasis on developing a design process through script analysis and the practical application of lighting in lab exercises. Includes problems of design for different theatrical spaces and explores the genres of drama, musical theatre, architectural lighting and television. Lighting designers for departmental productions are chosen from this class. Pre-requisite: Permission of the Instructor.
