Postprocessing

To plot the deformed shaft, go to

General Postproc --> Plot Results --> Deformed Shape

We can see that the deformed shaft is bended.

Contour Plot of displacement in x direction. Note that the previous analysis does not show significant transformation in x direction.

Compare the line-plot of displacement in x direction along the shaft's centerline with your analytical results. The graph should be a polynomial with negative slope.

However, the line plot of displacement in z direction along the shaft's centerline should have the same shape as in the results when principle material axes are aligned, but the deformation is larger.

The line-plot of z component of strain along the shaft's centerline should also have the same shape as the results when principle material axes are aligned, also with larger deformation.
