The Kent D. Shaffer Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established in honor of the chapter advisor who helped Kappa Chapter survive during the 1940's despite a dearth of college students. It is awarded every Spring (to be used in the Fall semester) to the student at Carnegie Mellon who most exemplifies the principles of Leadership, Friendship, and Service that are central to Alpha Phi Omega, but who is not affiliated with Alpha Phi Omega.

If you would like to apply, download the application form (in PDF format) and fill it out according to the instructions. This year, applications are due by April 27th, 2013 at 6pm. They can be submitted through campus mail or under our office door, UC 318K.

The Kent D. Shaffer Memorial Scholarship is funded with the proceeds from the campus directory (C-Book).

More information about the KDS Scholarship can be found at the Kappa Chapter Foundation's web site.
