Advanced PDP: Draw/Paint (Ayanah Moor). This advanced level course is designed to aid the student in the development of ideas and conceptual strategies in two-dimensional media. Attention will be given to expanding the conceptual basis of work while strengthening material qualities. The student will be expected to set personal goals and work independently. One-on-one meetings and group critiques will be routine. Issues of audience, accessibility and context as related to the construction of meaning will be addressed. There will be slide lectures on contemporary artists as well as assigned readings. Prequisites: Drawing 1 and 2 (60-150 and 60-151) and Painting I (60-250), or by instructor permission.
