Carnegie Mellon Roller Hockey

CMU's roller hockey club has continued to grow since its creation in the fall of 2000. Starting as a group of students playing pickup in the Morewood parking lot, the club soon grew to play in the newly formed Western Pennsylvania College Inline Hockey League during the 2000-2001 school year.

Since then, CMU has been a constant competitor in that league, winning the league championship in the 2002-2003 season. With the success in the local league it was decided that it was time to grow again, and during the 2003-2004 school year the club joined the Eastern Collegiate Roller Hockey Association as an affiliate member.

This year the club will remain affiliates in the ECRHA as well as continue to compete in the local WPCIHL. With an expanded practice schedule and growing budget, the club looks to improve on the rink and continue to grow, with the hope of full ECRHA membership in the near future.
