Hi everyone. We're having our first meeting of the year today.
On the agenda...
*we're having a presentation by Wenshu about the FTAA
*we'll be discussing what's happening in the past with PWR
*we'll be discussing what's happening this semester. Some topics include
the city-wide janitor's strike in October, other national protests, and
CMU's CPS worker's contract renewal in January. We hope to contribute to
all of these efforts of workers to get paid a living wage and recieve the
respect that they deserve.
Of course, we are open to all suggestions, and hope to hear from new
people about what they're interested in participating in. We'll also be
takling about video screenings and guest lecturers that we can arrange for
CMU. And finally, we're ordering pizza, so come eat it!!!
We're looking forward to meeting new people this year. Everyone is
welcome! Bring your friends!!!
NOTE: We've moved the meeting room to the Pake Room in the UC's 2nd floor
because it has a larger seating capacity. We'll put signs up to make it
easier to find.
