Debate on America's response to 9/11 (Tonight)

From: Anthony D'Auria (apd@andrew.cmu.edu)

How do you feel about America's new war? The U.S. administration argues
with widespread support that it's the only just and effective response,
while dissenters argue that the humanitarian cost is too high.

A debate on this issue will be held between the College Republicans and the
Students for Peaceful Action with Zi. The topics to be raised include:
long-term defense against terrorism, change or continuity in our foreign
policy, involvement by the international community, the war's duration,
nation-building and annihilation of the Taliban, civil liberties, individual
responses, and anything else you would like to contribute.

This is an excellent opportunity for those of any political persuasion to
think about and discuss recent events or simply to learn more facts. We
strongly encourage you to attend.

Thursday, November 1st
8:30pm, Rangos 2 & 3 in the University Center
Carnegie Mellon University
