Mock Trial gives
undergraduate students an opportunity to learn first hand about the work of
trial attorneys, understand the judicial system, develop critical and
analytical thinking skills, and enhance communication skills that are
applicable not only to the field of law, but to almost every other
profession today.
CMU
Mock Trial is proud to be a member of the American Mock Trial
Association (AMTA), which has coordinated the undergraduate mock trial
program and competitions nationwide since 1985. Through its website, AMTA
annually distributes a criminal or civil case complete with affidavits,
evidence, rules of procedure, and previous case law that serves as the
basis for a trial in the state of Midlands.
CMU
Mock Trial is the only competitive speech program at Carnegie Mellon
University. To learn more about CMU Mock Trial, read our information handout and Constitution.
