Carefully read over the following information about the presentations, evaluations, exercises and journal articles.

Class participation: Class will begin on time.  Your participation is crucial for us to complete discussions, exercises and activities. Plan your travel to/from your class site to be seated by the commencement of class and remain until the end of each scheduled period.  Frequent tardiness or early departure detracts from everyone's learning.  Unwarranted late arrival or early departure from class will negatively affect your class participation grade and your ability to complete activities on time.

Late work:  Assignments and work not turned in on time and not excused by mutual agreement will be graded as late work.  You will lose 25% of the maximum assignment points allowed for work that is up to 1 week late, 50% for work that is 1 - 2 weeks late and 75% for work that is over 2 weeks late.  Work will not be accepted after the final exam date. If there is work related travel or some other event beyond your control please discuss it with me so I can help you successfully complete your class work.

Professionalism and Courtesy: Your success in this distance learning class depends on your ability to communicate with respect.  Differing opinions, positions, and methods are part of dynamic learning and are encouraged and expected to be conveyed with the utmost courtesy and professionalism. Your presentations should also reflect the professionalism and pride you must practice in educational, business, government, military and other training settings.

Students with special needs: All learners have different learning styles. If you have a particular learning requirement that I should know about in assigning/evaluating your course work, please notify me as early as possible so that I can make appropriate accommodations.

Honor pledge: "I pledge to support the honor system of Old Dominion University. I will refrain from any form of academic dishonesty or deception, such as cheating or plagiarism. I am aware that as a member of the academic community, it is my responsibility to turn in all suspected violators of the honor system. I will report to Honor Council hearings if summoned." By attending Old Dominion University you have accepted the responsibility to abide by this code. This is an institutional policy, approved by the Board of Visitors.
