This course introduces the basic concepts of object-oriented
programming using the C++ programming language. These include the
notions of objects, classes, methods, inheritance, exception handling,
and the specification and implementation of basic data structures. The
course is fast paced and involves a significant amount of programming.
A prerequisite for this course is a basic ability to program in a general
purpose programming language such as C or FORTRAN
