Repair of Hokuyo URG-04LX-UG01

During testing one of the labs Laser Scanners a Hokuyo URG-04LX-UG01 a 5 meter 2d liadir which we use had its usb connector shreed off. Instead of having to send the device back to the manufacture for a costly repair which would have cost the project severl hundered dollars and require down time for when the seneor was being reparied. I was able to open the laser scanner up and reattch the broken component by a surface mount solder. After testing the laser scanner continrues to opperate within tollerences.
