Shixiang (Woody) Zhu 祝士祥 [Official Webpage]
I am an Assistant Professor in Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy, Carnegie Mellon University and a faculty affiliate at Wilton E. Scott Institute for Energy Innovation. I obtained my Ph.D. in Machine Learning at H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology.
My research lies in the broad area of machine learning, statistics, and operations research. I am particularly interested in spatio-temporal modeling and decision making. Much of my work aims to develop new methodologies that address high-impact problems in various applications, including power system, renewable energy, urban planning, transportation, and healthcare.
