With regard to application 960605HA, requesting the license for WSSZ FM
be transferred to MCL/MCM-INC., I would like to formally request you
deny said request. The purpose of this license transfer is so that radio
station WAMO can begin simulcasting using WSSZ's transmitter. As it is
possible to get WAMO's current signal in nearly every location where one
can receive WSSZ, and as WAMO has shown no interest in serving
Westmoreland County as WSSZ does now, I feel this application is not in
the public interest. Instead, it is merely a feeble attempt by WAMO
management to assuage listeners lost when WAMO traded away its previous
frequency. Further it will not improve reception in the areas they
target as having poor reception.
