This is a remote control snow plow I build. It uses an SX microcontroller to interpret the signal from a VEX wireless transmitter. This allows complete analog control over the two motors and the ability to raise/lower the plow itself.
The base is what's left of an RC tank.
All of the electronics are contained within the metal box, including their battery. A 12v battery for the motors is placed below the metal box and is not visible in the pictures. Below the power switches on the side is a charging port for the batteries. A switch is used to control which battery the charging port is connected to.
Below are some pictures and the first test run with the plow attached. With time I should get better at using the controls.
