Procedure for Re-Labeling Books

 =

1.  Pick = up bundle of spine labels for assigned stack.

 

2.  Pick = up box of supplies and book cart.

 

3.  Go to assigned stack and apply labels to book spines. 

 

4.  Compa= re old Dewey label call number on book with the Dewey call number on new label set making sure that they match.  NOTE:  This includes volume, part and yea= r.

 

5.  Check= written call number on back of title page in book to make sure that it matches the = Dewey number on the new label set.  =

 

6.  Check= that the title on the title page or the title of the series is the same as the t= itle on the pocket label from the new label set. 

 

7.  If ev= erything is correct, place new LC label over old Dewey label.  Return book to its place on the sh= elf.
