Sound Recording/Editing/Mastering

Here’s a track I did for Intro to Music Technology in the spring of my freshman year. The premise: make a 2 minute composition using Apple’s Garage Band; must include panning and volume automation. I recorded a song I had written a few years before hand.

This track is a sampling of stuff I mastered in Sound Editing and Mastering, which I took in the spring of my sophomore year. There’s a wide range of styles in this one to enjoy (8 song snippets total). Each song was mixed and mastered with Pro Tools. 6 months later, I cut them up and made a sample track with Sound Forge. This is the first time I ever tried to do crossfades with SF, so some of them aren’t so great. I got the hang of it by the end, but I was too lazy to go back and fix the earlier ones. Anyways…
