Analyze Minicase 1-2 (Shearson Lehman) and answer questions 1-3

On Jan 23, We will review the Telecommunications Business Decision Sequence. You should have read Minicase 1-2 and be ready to discuss it and a university application of telecommunications using the telecommunications business decision sequence.

Your homework will be turned in electronically to Sumit. Here are steps you need to take. Please Sumit or I if you have any questions.

• create a sub-directory named www in your root directory. This is done by typing mkdir www when you are in the root directory. Create a file called .anonr in your root directory. This file should contain the line www in it. Provide read permission to the www directory by typing chmod a+r www. You now have a directory that is accessible over the Web.

• Complete your homework and mark it up using HTML. HTML is easy to learn. A HTML primer is available here . HTML is essential if you have any type formatting such as italics or bold in your document. If you use Word or some such PC formatter to produce the document save it as a text file and move it to AFS using FTP. You can also create the document on andrew using an editor such as EMACS. Name the file hw1.html. In future, the name will hwn.html where n is the number of the homework.

• Issue the pwd command, and send Sumit email informing him about the pathname to your file. Your email should be sent by 2pm on the day it is due. We will not accept any homework that is turned in late.

• Sumit will grade it and provide feedback.
