This homework is due March 14. You should bring a one page description of the problem you will address using AHP to class on March 7. This is a group project

This homework involves the analysis, design and development of a simple decision support system using the AHP method and the Expert Choice tool. You are required to choose a problem of interest to you. This may be a part of the problem you are addressing in larger semester long project. As announced in class, there are several examples in the papers I have given you, in the references and in the Expert Choice manual.

The first step, which I expect you to have completed by March 7, is to develop a problem statement and an associated decision heirarchy. This heirarchy should state the goal or purpose of the problem solving task, the criteria and sub criteria that are relevant to the evaluation of the problem and the set of alternatives being considered.

Following the class on March 7 and the lab session, you will be required to implement your heirarchy in Expert Choice. You should adeqautely document the heirarchy and demonstrate functionality (recommendation, evaluation, what if and goal seeking) to the extent that they are relevant to your problem. In addition to parametric sensitivity analysis, consider structural sensitivity analysis as well.

Finally, think about the ways in which a AHP type heirarchy could be integrated with your decision tree and influence diagram tools. What would be problems and how can they be addressed?
