In the Hospital

Here they are! Paige Karen and Shannon Mary Mahoney were born on March 24, 2004!  They were delivered via cesarean at 35 weeks. Paige was first at 7:20 am, weighing 4 pounds 11 oz.  Shannon wasn't far behind, born at 7:22 am weighing 4 pounds 7 oz.  Both were 17.5" long.

Out of the oven, and into the warmer!  The first day, the girls had to stay either under the warming lamp or in a temperature-regulated incubator in order to maintain their body temperature.  Luckily, that was the only intervention required, despite their low birth weight.  Oxygen, IVs and the like were not needed!
