ACKNOWLEDGES
Alan Lewandowski
for expanding the range of music available to Pittsburgh
THROUGH OUR LENS
Our nominator(s) said:
Alan Lewandowski is a poet, musician and creative inspirational force that has been charming Pittsburgh's underground music scene for nearly two decades. His current musical projects, The Working Poor and Anita Fix, amount to an original form of surreal Appalachian music, combining traditional folk styles with electric and even psychedelic aspects. These bands feature Lewandowski's heartfelt, yet subversive approach to songwriting, which he has performed in bars, galleries and backyards alike.
