Hello Laura! The files consist of composites and parts for 4 pages corresponding to the homepage and the three main sections for the site. Each of the 4 pages are image- and color-coded as follows: homepage = light grey-green/ocean floor reference = blue/circuit board artists and projects = red/skin or hand community = dark green/leaf For the most part, the file names reflect the color coding above and are organized in the following folders: bkgrds = backgrounds for the four pages buttons = individual buttons and composite button bars for navigation to be placed on the sub-pages. Also includes buttons for the homepage (see below for further explanation) homepgs = different "states" of the homepage (see below) tripgs = composite flattened versions of the three sub-pages I have tried to include both composite pages--so you can see how the final pages should look, and parts that compose the pages (graphics, buttons, backgrounds) so you can rebuild them to add links, rollovers, etc. I did not include any text, since I figured it might be best for you to just re-enter it while you build the pages. Text is included in the composite pages so that you have a guide for the text. At this point, there are only titles on the three sub-pages. We are developing content for the Reference page, and it is on the greenarts web page (www.artswire.org/greenarts). As you will see, at this point we are putting all the content in one file, but I am not sure if this will work for how you will be constructing the pages--will you need to link to a separate file(s) from each of the subpages in order to build the backgrounds for the subpages? I am also wondering about the backgrounds for the content pages--what do you think will work? Can we somehow tile part of the background pattern, or perhaps a solid, maybe textured color from the subpage background would be best? There is no content yet for the other two subpages. The homepage functions differently than the subpages. I am not sure if this is possible, but Mo and I would like it to work as follows: When the page first comes up, only the title "Green Arts Web" will appear on the background. Then the line at the bottom of the page will come up: "Linking the Arts and the Environment." Then the graphics (which will also be rollover buttons) will appear, followed by the intro text (the paragraph - see the homeintr file). When the user rolls over the buttons/graphics, the intro text will go away, and the Contents will appear (see the hometoc file). It would be great if the graphics would change in color, or perhaps a new image would appear, for the rollover. Each of the three graphics/buttons on the homepage correspond with each of the three subpages. I have un-flattened photoshop files of all the files I am sending you, so please let me know if you need any other files or components (graphics, buttons, etc.) You can start building the site on artswire. Just keep in mind that index.html is currently being used for the Reference page. If you want to upload the homepage as index.html, the current index file should be renamed to refhm.html I am thinking that we should use the following naming conventions: refhm.html, comhm.html, and arthm.html = the "home pages" of the three subsections ref1.html, com1.html, art1.html = for subsequent pages that link from the subsection homepages How does this sound? Thanks so much for all your help. Can't wait to see it online! Best, Ann
