Over twelve years of experience in science librarianship and energy technology. Experience includes reference work in the science division of a university library, and reference and administrative duties in a U.S. Department of Energy Library, supervision of a small engineering publications library, operation and supervision of a pressurized light water nuclear reactor, and emergency and routine electrical maintenance.

Physics and Math Librarian: Liaison with the Physics, Mathematical Sciences, and Engineering and Public Policy departments. Provide reference service in the Engineering and Science Library. Develop the Physics and Mathematics collections. Share development of the Engineering and Public Policy collection. Coordinate collection development and collection management for the Engineering and Science Library. Supervise Information Assistants (graduate students in library and information science from the University of Pittsburgh). Participate in Libraries and/or University governance. Contribute to and remain current in the field of library science.

Technical Librarian: Provided comprehensive reference services and library team leadership in the U.S. Department of Energy/Federal Energy Technology Center B-2 Library. Performed online searching of DIALOG, STN, and the Internet. Guided collection development activities. Used and maintained print and CD-ROM resources. Formulated annual work plan/budget. Liaison between Library Team and upper-level management. Led strategic planning, quality improvement, staff development, and conflict resolution efforts.
