Jie (Jay) Zhao is a PhD graduate from the Center for Building Performance and Diagnostics at Carnegie Mellon University.
Jie's research focuses on utilizing energy simulation, smart control, system optimization, and data mining methods to improve energy efficiency and occupant comfort in the built environment.
Jie taught a graduate level course - Building Controls and Diagnostics as an adjunct instructor. He also has three years teaching assistant experience for an undergraduate level course - Building Physics.
Jie published 8 journal papers, 13 conference papers and 1 book chapter. He was invited to present his work at 10+ international and national conferences, seminars and symposiums.
