Education & Outreach
I am an outreach specialist with Computing Services at Carnegie Mellon University. What does that mean? That means that I am responsible for handling a lot of the two-way communication between the central IT organization of the university and the wider campus community. Our group holds discussion forums, focus groups, and information sessions; we determine customer needs, write surveys, and try to help the campus community understand what Computing Services is up to, and help Computing Services understand what the campus community needs and wants from central IT.
I earned my B.S. in Technical Writing in 1998, and my M.A. in Professional Writing in 2000. I am certified in ITIL Level 1 (in addition to other fantastic skills).
