Learning Objectives and Homework Development

Rob Simmons

Written assignments are an important part of how a course staff (and an individual student!) gets information about what an individual students knows and where they need to concentrate their energy in order to improve. In this seminar, we'll talk about learning objectives in terms of a model called "Bloom's taxonomy." We will work through examples of how, in computer science courses, we can design and grade questions with an emphasis on different types of objectives.
