Over this past summer, I had developed a new hobby: film photography! Using the saving for my 2020 Summer job, I decided to finally buy a film camera. With strict traveling policies back home––in Thailand––I decided to stay in the US this summer and visit my aunt and cousins. This presented a perfect opportunity for me to travel around and take pictures with my film camera. Coincidentally, my cousin also started taking film photos this Summer. We decided to buy chemicals and develop our own film. The process was fun and very rewarding. I should still recall the first time, I saw my pictures show up on the film roll I took. My anticipation reaches its climax as I open the developing tank to see the negatives; it was a moment of magic. Even though I didn't do every development step correctly, it was good experience. Would highly recommend!
