"The Vaught conjecture: a counter-example"
ABSTRACT: Morley proved in 1970 that any counterexample to the Vaught Conjecture must have exactly $aleph_1$ distinct countable models. Close examination of his proof method allows one to gain a clear idea of what such a counterexample must be like.
We draw out some of these constraints, and briefly describe a counterexample.
