Hi, I am Anand!

I am a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University pursuing a Master's in Energy Science, Technology and Policy (with a concentration in Electrical and Computer Engineering) and expecting to graduate in December 2017. I am currently working as a Research Associate in InferLab under Prof. Mario Berges at Carnegie Mellon University.

My areas of interest include Data Driven Energy Analytics, Internet of Things and efficient Power Management techniques in computer systems.

I have completed a dual degree from Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences (BITS) - Goa Campus and graduated with a Master of Science degree in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Computer Science. My focus on systems began here and I was introduced to the notion of "energy" by Prof. Biju Raveendran by means of Dynamic Voltage Frequency Schedulers.

For my Bachelor's thesis, I worked at the Smart Energy Informatics Lab at Indian Institute of Technology - Bombay under the guidance of Prof. Krithi Ramamritham where I built smart energy applications for efficient power management in buildings. I have installed smart meters in the CSE department building and real-time data from these meters is visualized here.

After graduating from BITS, I worked as a Software Developer at Intuit where I built web services to support products like TurboTax.
