One Month In Korea

Background

When tasked to create a website on any particular theme for by 67-240 Mobile Web Design and Development course, I chose to create a personal website recounting my experience studying abroad in South Korea. The website was coded entirely using HTML and CSS, and helped me become familiarized with the different aspects of the two markup languages.

Final Prototype

The website incorporates elements such as images, navigation bars, footers, tables, forms, and iframes. It also uses different fonts and colors that enhance and personalize the content.

Key Insights

Through this project, I was able to familiarize myself with the basics of HTML and CSS. Specifically, I learned how to:

• Design and code a fully functioning website with HTML and CSS
• Incorporate and customers elements such as forms and iframes
• Follow industry standards regarding metadata and CSS selector ordering

Reflecting on the work, many improvements could be made, such as:

• Drawing wireframes before coding the website
• Utilizing more design principles
