LaunchCyte co-founder, chairman, and chief executive officer: Tom Petztinger

 

 

In addition to serving as CEO and chairman of LaunchCyte, Tom serves as interim CEO of Bioplex Corp. and as a director of Morewood Molecular Sciences Inc. and Immunetrics Inc. Prior to co-founding LaunchCyte, he spent 22 years at The Wall Street Journal, where, as deputy Washington bureau chief, he managed operations for the largest Journal bureau in the world. He also served as Washington economics editor, millennium editor, and weekly "Front Lines" columnist, a capacity in which he conducted hundreds of case studies of entrepreneurial success.

Tom has written three best-selling business books, including The New Pioneers, an exploration of the new economy. Tom serves as a founding trustee of the Plexus Institute, a non-profit organization devoted to the application of complexity science in human health. He also serves as a director of the Pennsylvania Biotechnology Association and as a visiting fellow of the Cap Gemini Ernst & Young Center for Business Innovation.

Tom holds a B.S. in journalism from Northwestern University, where he was a Richter Undergraduate International Scholar

Sanjay has over twelve years of expertise in e-commerce strategy, business development and technology. Sanjay is the winner of E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year 2000 award and actively participates in promoting entrepreneurship in Pittsburgh. Sanjay is also the winner of Top 40 under 40 for the Pittsburgh region. Sanjay is the founding chair of Pittsburgh Social Venture Partners and a founding charter member of the TiE Pittsburgh.

Prior to Intellions, Sanjay was the founder, chairman and chief executive officer of OnlineChoice.com. Sanjay came up with the idea of aggregating demand for select essential services and launched OnlineChoice.com in August 1999. OnlineChoice was selected by dbusiness.com to be one of the top 50 emerging companies in Pennsylvania for the year 2000 and had over 490,000 customers over ten domains, such as, electricity, natural gas, long distance, local telephone, gasoline, internet access, home security and term life and health insurance.

Before that Sanjay consulted for Goldman Sachs and GNC in various strategy and e-commerce projects. Sanjay has also worked as a technical manager at Federated Investors, Carnegie Group and Allegheny Management Company. Sanjay holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University (GSIA).


 

 

CEO of CollegeProwler: Luke Skurman

 

 

 

 

 

Luke leads CollegeProwler as Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for management, company finances, product production, corporate partnerships, and business administration.

He recently completed his undergraduate degree in business administration with a concentration in entrepreneurship from Carnegie Mellon University. While at Carnegie Mellon University, Luke was awarded the Canfield-Roseman Entrepreneur of the Year Award and took first place in the CMU annual business plan competition.

Luke is the youngest 'Changemaker' ever selected by the Pittsburgh Business-Times, earning the honor in 2002. Luke, a San Francisco native, is a veteran of numerous startup companies.

Warren Archer is a lawyer with Plummer, Harty & Owsiany in Pittsburgh. He is engaged in a general corporate and business practice, consisting primarily of securities law work, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, financings, including private placements and borrowings from commercial lenders, contract and lease drafting and review and general commercial counseling for start-up, small- and medium-sized businesses.

His background includes legal work at other law firms as well as corporate counsel for Motorola Inc.

Tom Divenere, is a lawyer, an investment banker, a venture capitalist, an advisor to venture capitalists, an entrepreneur, and an advisor to entrepreneurs.  Curently, his company, Divenere Group, invests in the U.S., U.K., and Mexico across a wide development spectrum.

Tom is also CEO of Golf Clubhouse Inc, a holding company for a dominant
regional golf retailer. In the past, Tom has been in resort property management, having acquired, grown and successfully exited from Hilton Head's larges full service resort property management company. His investment banking background includes Houlihan, Lokey, Howard & Zukin and Hayes & Griffith. Tom has a B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross and a J.D. from Duke University.
