The WalletTab works efficiently and seamlessly into your daily lifestyle. Breads, meats, dairy, vegetables, and fruits are represented by coloured tabs on a panel that slides into your wallet, providing an easily accessible system to keep you on the Food Guide Pyramid.

With each meal, the user pulls out his or her wallet, and pulls off tabs according to what foods he or she ate. If a sandwich was for lunch, he or she pulls off one bread serving, one meat serving, and one vegetable serving tab. Fats and oils aren’t considered, because they only need to be used sparingly. Not sure what constitutes a serving? Check out "Just What is a Serving?" on the Food Guide Pyramid page.

The tabs come with a user guide with dietary information, brief instructions, and a legend that sticks in your wallet to help you remember which foods are which colours.

The number of tabs for each colour is determined by how many servings you should have per day, so when you have eaten 8 servings of breads, there are no more tabs, and you know you've eaten the right amount.
