C2: U1A Protein

The U1A-RNA Complex is involved in RNA splicing. The RNA-binding domain of U1A is shown using the cartoon display. The protein is colored according to its structure. The RNA is colored Shapely (Note: The RNA may appear white in the small window, but it will be colored correctly in the pop-up window).

Change the Display mode of the Protein: To change the rendering of the protein to Ball & Stick try either of the following:
Select¬Protein¬Protein
Display¬Ball & Stick
or
Select¬Chain¬A
Display¬Ball & Stick
The first method selected the protein chain by identifying the type of residues in the polymer (i.e. amino acids). The second method selected the protein chain by the chain identifier in the PDB file.
Change the Display mode of the RNA: To change the rendering of the RNA to sticks try either of the following:
Select¬Nucleic¬Nucleic
Display¬Sticks
or
Select¬Chain¬P
Display¬Sticks
Remove the RNA from the Display:
Select¬Chain¬P
Select¬Hide¬Hide Selected
Add the RNA back to the Display:
