Donation Drive to Benefit Tartan Scholars Ambitions
The Staff Council Wellness Committee has organized the Carnival Week 2022 Donation Drive to benefit the Tartan Scholars Ambitions Closet. The Tartan Scholars Ambitions Closet "suits students up with the attire to achieve their ambitions! They prepare students for interviews and networking opportunities by providing them with free professional apparel to keep.”
The Carnival Week 2022 Donation Drive event will take place beginning Monday, April 4, with donation drop off boxes being placed at Cyert Hall A64 and Alumni House (inside the first set of double doors). Those boxes will be emptied daily and will remain available until Wednesday, April 6. Hoping to capture donations from incoming alums who have cleaned out their closets to contribute to the drive, we will be accepting donations at the Student Academic Success Center (Posner 150 F) from 9am – 4pm on Thursday, April 7, and Friday, April 8.
The Tartan Scholars Ambitions Closet is accepting in-style, professional attire that students can wear for interviews. The areas of greatest need now are:
- Gently used professional clothing/accessories
- Adult winter coats & gloves
- Blazers
- Dress shoes
- Warm winter shoes
