Allen Janis

Allen Janis, although officially retired form the University of Pittsburgh, still has his same office at which he can be found most days pursuing his interests in both physics and the philosophy of science. Before his retirement he held a joint appointment as Professor of Physics and Associate Director of the Center for Philosopy of Science, and he currently holds the titles of Professor Emeritus of Physics and Fellow Emeritus of the Center. For many years, he taught a course called Physics and Science Fiction.
