Scholarship
While a fraternity by definition aims to promote the social aspect of college life, one cannot forget the most important reason you are here: to get an education. Nobody chooses Carnegie Mellon because it's a "party school." Everyone here is serious about their academics and hopes to attain a level of education desired by many but obtained by few. We can help you achieve your academic goals.
At Delta-Alpha of Kappa Sigma, we have a rigorous scholarship program and demanding academic requirements. There is an invaluable amount of peer tutoring within the house. Many Brothers have taken the classes you are now taking, or maybe one is even in the class with you. They are all willing to lend a helping hand and spend a few minutes of their time on academics.
You do no good to yourself or the Fraternity by letting your grades slip. The last thing any brother wants to see is someone fail in their academic pursuits. Our scholarship program and general attitude towards "school comes first" often avoids these negative situations. In fact Kappa Sigma boasts one of the highest GPAs on campus. This is truly a testament to our commitment to academic excellence.
