The Delta Alpha Chapter of Kappa Sigma is a brotherhood based on rich history, academic zeal and long-lasting friendships. We pride ourselves on building strong brothers: strong in character, strong in wisdom, and strong in life. The bonds we form and the experience we share enrich our lives. As a long-ago Kappa Sigma once said, "Not a day, or an hour, or a college term only, but for Life." Indeed, Kappa Sigma is for life.
Kappa Sigma has been a presence on the Carnegie Mellon campus since 1921. In recent years we have been awarded countless scholarship awards and have consistently held one of the highest GPAs of all the CMU fraternities since 2002. Four of our current brothers are involved in ROTC. We have also recently been active in our philanthropic efforts. In the 2005-2006 year alone, our 35 member brotherhood completed over 3000 hours of community service.
"The Star and Crescent shall not be worn by every man,
but only by him who is worthy to wear it.
He must be a gentleman...
a man of honor and courage...
a man of zeal, yet humble...
an intelligent man...
a man of truth...
one who tempers action with wisdom and, above all else,
one who walks in the light of God." |
