GSA Childcare Committee
The GSA Childcare Committee is currently headed by Barbara Smith, VP-Human
Resources along with Marsha Poster - Director of the Cyert Center, Sharon
Carver - Director of the Children's School, and Nancy Klancher - Director of
the Graduate Programs Office, and two GSA representatives. The committee
meets approximately once a month to discuss childcare solutions for graduate
students. Some options on the table for the coming year are to provide
graduate students with similar tuition benefits that faculty and staff
receive at campus childcare facilities and to initiate a childcare
cooperative near campus. One or two graduate students with children are
needed to serve on this committee and provide insight. We know as students
AND parents, you already have a busy schedule. But an hour or two each
month could make a big difference - and Barbara often brings cookies to the
meetings!
