My maiden name is Dawn Neuhart and I grew up in Brookline, a small community within Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Joseph L. Jackson, Jr. and I met in October of 1989. We dated briefly then amicably went our seperate ways, only to meet again in November 1991 in a computer cluster at Carnegie Mellon (he was an employee and I was a student). We started dating again and were wed four years later on Oct. 7, 1995.

We now have two sons, Clark, born August, 1997, and Riley, born April, 2001.
We used to live near campus, however after having Clark, we realized our home was entirely too small for all the stuff children accumulate. So, we purchased a home in a suburb just outside of Pittsburgh. The boys have a lot more room, and the community is more child friendly with a good school district to boot!
I am a major movie buff and really miss going to the theaters, however, I have an extensive movie collection and rent them often. I also love to read. Some of my favorite authors include: Anne Bishop, Patricia Briggs, JD Robb, Laurell Hamilton, Mercedes Lackey, Steven Brust, Maggi Fury, Ann Logston, Raymond Fiest, Tanya Huff...I could go on and on and on.
I have recently decided to go back to school part-time, while continuing to work full-time, to get my Master's degree in Library Science. Very interesting stuff, if I do say so myself.
We have also just recently welcomed a puppy into our busy lives who is just adorable.
