I completed my B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee in 2006. Currently, I am pursing my PhD in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), Pittsburgh. My advisor is Prof. Ignacio E. Grossmann and I am working with him in the area of Process Systems Engineering (PSE).

My research interests involve formulating optimization models (LP, MILP, MINLP and GDP) for problems in the area of Chemical Engineering and developing efficient solution algorithms for these models. I also focus on the issue of uncertainties in these problems by incorporating the scenario based modeling using Stochastic Programming. I have been teaching assistant for Advanced Process Systems Engineering, Chemical Process Systems Design and Chemical Engineering Process Control courses at CMU and worked in IBM, India for two years.
